THE PALACE AT SOMERSET PARK
Somerset, NJ
The Palace at Somerset Park is a new 120,000 SF high end
conference/banquet facility. The scope of work ranged from the
installation of extensive paint grade and pre-finished maple
standing and running trims which included crown molding, chair rail, base molding, decorative bands and accent trims. This project contains upwards of 1000 linear feet of
trim work. This project consisted not only of standard hardwood trims but
also custom plaster, urethane and fiberglass reinforced polyester trims, such as cornices throughout the ballrooms and light coves in recessed ceilings.
The project also contains various rooms of custom built stain grade cabinetry,
which
included the fabrication of bathroom vanity systems and the custom design of display cases in various libraries and sitting rooms.
All work was completed with our own resources.
This project also called for our installation of solid wood
columns and cast
plastic custom capitals. The columns specified for this project were on a grand scale
with sizes ranging from 12’ to 23’ tall and 18” to 24” in width or diameter. Throughout the project Epic Millwork worked closely with the interior decorator/designer in order to provide and install the high level finishes that this project demanded.
The ability to coordinate in house with Epic Interiors (the drywall and ceiling contractor on this project) enhanced our ability to “hold” dimensions and meet critical schedules.
