Saint Gregory the Great Church in Hamilton, New Jersey selected Epic Management Inc. to perform pre-construction and construction phase management services for a building addition/ alteration including a multi-phased site work package.
The project consists of 17,000 sf of select demolition/ minor renovation in conjunction with 28,500 sf of new construction. The renovations convert the existing church into a new adjoining chapel while incorporating required life safety upgrades. The new addition houses a 1040 seat assembly area, a two story gathering space and associated support spaces while incorporating barrier-free upgrades providing access throughout the building.
Architectural features include traditional brick veneer matching the original structure, exposed wood beam roof/ceiling structure, monumental stained glass windows, imported marble alter, baptismal and tabernacle. The design also incorporates a state of the art sound system and lighting dimming control system.
The facility was occupied by the Owner in February 2004 and the final phase of the project was completed in April 2004.
