Project: Organic Chemistry & Science Education Laboratory Renovations

Construction Costs: $3.8 million Task Order costs; $2.3 million construction costs
Epic was selected to provide CM/Build Services for the gut renovation of existing Organic Chemistry and Science Education/Geology Laboratories at Brooklyn College as part of Task Order No. 1 for CUNY’s CM/Design/Build contract CITYW-CUCF-01-09. The scope of work included new student and instructional laboratory benches, laboratory casework, fume hoods, equipment, flooring, HVAC, asbestos abatement, lighting and electrical upgrades. The existing laboratories were original to the 1936 era Ingersoll Hall.
The two projects were planned and coordinated during occupied and active semester programs and were successfully completed with a six-month construction duration, no loss time injuries or incidents and 5% change orders.
