Project Scope: Princeton University’s John Maclean House was originally constructed in 1756 and has been home to ten Princeton presidents, seven deans and countless numbers of Princeton Alumni.  It was built to house the University Presidents but also served as home to John Witherspoon who lived there from 1768 to 1779, during the time he served as delegate to the Continental Congress and signed the Declaration of Independence.  George Washington lived in the home in January 1777 during the Battle of Princeton.  It now serves as the home of the Alumni Association of Princeton University, where thirty five staff work to hose alumni functions and showcase Princeton University memorabilia as well as the library of the Princetoniana.

This project consisted of structural modifications, exterior restoration, a complete replacement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, replication of existing historical features with coordination of all installations in accordance with the secretary of Interiors criteria of National Landmark restoration.
