Construction Costs: $25 million
Epic managed the construction and closeout phases of this state-of-the- art new three-story, 150,000 sf facility. Epic also managed the commissioning, start-up, validation and testing of all laboratory and facility equipment and systems.
The building comprises the following laboratories and facilities:
- Chemistry Wet Lab
- Biology Lab
- Environmental Plant Growth Chambers
- Environmental Chemistry Lab
- Roof-top greenhouse
Foran Hall houses the Department of Plant Biology and Pathology, the Center for Turfgrass Science, and the Rutgers AgBiotech Center. The building contains various wet laboratories, new growth chambers, cold rooms, a teaching laboratory, a large seminar room, a new agricultural library and other research facilities. Lab facilities and equipment include fume hoods, casework benches, emergency showers, compressed air, vacuum & nitrogen piping, classroom instructional areas, autoclaves and sterilizers, re-ionized water system & dedicated ventilation systems.
